Art expedition honours black apartheid era artists

A new art exhibition at the Steve Biko Centre in Ginsburg in King William’s Town,  Eastern Cape, is honouring and celebrating a number of  black artists from the apartheid era.

The exhibition is run in conjunction with the University of Fort Hare. Some of the work on display is from renowned artists like George Pemba, Gerard Sekoto and Gladys Mgudlandlu. They are being hailed as pioneers and ground breakers… Read more
