With the fair being just a month away, check out our SPOTLIGHT series shining light on our international participating galleries and their artists and what you can expect to see from them.

Working with artists from widely separate generations, P420 examines the relations between languages belonging to different periods, with the aim of bringing out their pertinence. P420 collaborates directly with the artists, or with their heirs and the foundations that represent them.

Gallery (Arezzo, Italy)

LIS10 Gallery was founded in 2019 by Alberto Chiavacci and Nicola Furini. Alberto’s passion for African art and Nicola’s expertise as a gallery owner of contemporary art led this duo to create their first exhibition with the artist Gonçalo Mabunda (Mozambique) in Pietrasanta, Italy. During these years LIS10 Gallery continued to organise exhibitions in its space in Via Ventura (Milan)

Mimmo Scognamiglio Artecontemporanea (Cairo, Egypt)

The activity of the gallerist Mimmo Scognamiglio in Neapolitan cultural life started in December 1995 with the opening of the gallery “Scognamiglio e Teano”. Since November 2000, the gallery changed its name to “Mimmo Scognamiglio Arte Contemporanea” and started a wide range of activities, planning many shows in public and private spaces, organising meetings and seminars on art and culture, and cooperating with avant-garde publishing houses and curators.

Mashrabia Gallery of Contemporary Art (Cairo, Egypt)

Located in downtown Cairo, Mashrabia Gallery of Contemporary Art was established in the early 1990s as one of the pillars of contemporary art in Egypt. With the mission to discover and promote new artistic talent and to support both well-known and emerging artists, the gallery has played a pioneering role in the diffusion of contemporary art across Egypt and abroad. Alongside its monthly exhibitions, the gallery curates projects at other institutions, historical sites and public spaces across the country, in a quest to make visual art accessible to a wider audience.
