Cultural impact of Brexit revealed in new report

Brexit has “exposed severe social divides”, according to a new report by the UK’s Creative Industries Federation. The report provides the most detailed published assessment of the impact on culture of leaving the European Union (EU). It follows a survey just before the June referendum which showed that 96% of its respondents wanted to remain in the EU.

According to the federation’s chief executive, John Kampfner, “our job now is to be intensely practical and not to indulge in laments, but to work very closely with government to deal with problems and also to identify opportunities for beneficial change”.
