Francophonie urged to help structure African art

The International Organization of the Francophonie (OIF) should help member countries restructure their art sector to allow them to turn towards cultural development, Yacouba Konate, the General Manager of the African Market for Performing Arts (MASA) in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire said.

 

We invite the Francophonie to take into account the cultural development aspect which should involve assistance to members in structuring their art sector, said Mr. Konate, who is attending an Ivorian exhibition at the so-called Francophonie Village in Senegal.

The exhibition is part of the 15th OIF Summit to be held on Saturday and Sunday at the Diamniadio International Conference Centre, near the Senegalese capital Dakar…
