Michigan art dealer sentenced to 41 months for Modern art forgery

The Michigan art dealer Eric Spoutz has been sentenced to 41 months in prison, and three years supervised release, for wire fraud charges related to a scheme to sell forgeries of works purportedly by American Modern artists, the US Attorney’s Office announced on 16 February.
