Biography
Adusu, born 1983, lives and works in Greater Accra, Ghana. He holds Diploma in painting from The Ghanatta College of Arts and Design. He calls his style “Spontaneous Realism” as a trademark for his art. Broken textures and uniqueness in color application are some of the qualities one can find in his paintings. He applied the paints in a very high viscosity without restrictions known as “Impasto”.
Adusu mostly paints on a black background canvases in order to tell the correlation and harmony between blacks and whites as one cannot do without the other to damn “Racism”. His inspiration is derived from nature and the activities around him. Especially the emotions on the human face.
