Strauss & Co has decided to postpone the Cape Town live auction scheduled for 29 and 30 March 2020. This decision was taken with regard to current circumstances surrounding the coronavirus (COVID-19) and in support of Government’s directives prohibiting large gatherings and discouraging travel.
The Cape Town auction will now be held at the Vineyard Hotel on 10 and 11 May 2020.

Strauss & Co will also be postponing the Johannesburg live auction from 25 May to a later date, in all likelihood 27 July 2020.
We are monitoring the situation and will confirm the dates in due course. The health and wellbeing of our clients and staff are uppermost in our minds and will determine the final dates of our live auctions.
Our online auctions will continue, although we wish to point out the revised dates:
6 April to 14 April 2020
25 May to 1 June 2020
6 to 13 July 2020
The Strauss & Co offices in Cape Town and Johannesburg will remain open. A reduced staff complement will be at hand to attend to queries, valuations and other day-to-day business. The balance of Strauss & Co’s staff will be working from home and will be available to handle client enquiries by phone, mail or social media.
