Opportunity Description

The UCT Works of Art Committee (WOAC) is calling for proposals from experienced curators (min 5 years in the industry) to engage with the university’s art collection and curate exhibitions for public spaces on University of Cape Town campuses. These exhibitions would comprise art in the UCT collection as well as other work that may be loaned or in some instances, purchased. Guiding documents will include the WOAC database and WOAC’s curatorial policy.

How to Apply

As an expression of interest, please send:

  • a 200 word description of your concept and vision for the curation of public university
    spaces, as well as a list of artists/art works you would like to work with
  • if possible an idea of which space/s the exhibition will be designed for
  • a curriculum vitae including your name and contact details
