Western Cape hotel named as South Africa’s top Wine Country Hotel

The World Travel Awards are voted for by consumers and the tourism sector.

Alan Winde, Minister of Economic Opportunities, congratulated Leeu Estates on being recognised as South Africa’s leading Wine Country Hotel 2017 at the World Travel Awards Africa in Rwanda on Tuesday.

This major success comes hot on the heels of Leeu Estates being announced as the only South African hotel to appear on Condé Nast Traveler’s HOT LIST 2017 and its inclusion on Travel + Leisure’s It List 2017, one of just 44 properties in the world that made it onto the exclusive list.

Leeu Estates, which opened in June 2016, offers luxury boutique hotel flair on the outskirts of Franschhoek.
